Strategic Radiology
Strategic Radiology, representing more than 1,200 radiologists, is comprised of large, clinically-advanced groups that are geographically dispersed. Strategic Radiology’s goal is higher quality and more cost-efficient delivery of medical imaging.
American College of Radiology
The mission of The American College of Radiology (ACR) is to serve patients and society by maximizing the value of radiology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and medical physics by advancing the science of radiology, improving the quality of patient care, positively influencing the socioeconomics of the practice of radiology, providing continuing education for radiology and allied health professions and conducting research for the future of radiology.
Image Wisely Initiative
The American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America formed the Joint Task Force on Adult Radiation Protection to address concerns about the surge of public exposure to ionizing radiation from medical imaging. The Joint Task Force collaborated with the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists to create the Image Wisely campaign with the objective of lowering the amount of radiation used in medically necessary imaging studies and eliminating unnecessary procedures.
Image Gently Initiative
The Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging’s goal is to change practice: to raise awareness of the opportunities to lower radiation dose in the imaging of children. The Alliance strategy is straightforward - providing information and free educational materials to every member of the care team.
Society of Interventional Radiology The Society of Interventional Radiology is a national organization of physicians, scientists and allied health professionals dedicated to improving public health through disease management and minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic interventions.
Radiological Society of North America
The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA®) is an international society of radiologists, medical physicists and other medical professionals with more than 53,000 members from 140 countries across the globe. Through its educational resources, RSNA provides hundreds of thousands of continuing education credits toward physicians' maintenance of certification.
