We will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
You will be asked to change into a gown for your prostate embolization. You will need to arrange to have someone drive you home after the procedure is performed.
You will be advised not to take any blood-thinning agents, such as aspirin, prior to the procedure during your consultation visit. You will also be told not to eat anything for 8 hours before the prostate embolization. It is okay to take your morning medications with a sip of water before your procedure, however, consult with your radiologist or technologist about which medications are approved to take on the day of your prostate embolization.
You should also inform your radiologist or technologist of any recent health conditions or recent illnesses during your consultation visit.
